2015 Peterson GCM Blend, Bradford Mountain Vineyard, Dry Creek Valley

A WOW summer red. Alluring spice notes wind around a luscious core of raspberry and strawberry that pop right out of the glass. A Southern Rhone blend of Grenache, Carignane and Mourvedre from Dry Creek Valley. Unique, delicious and a screaming deal.

Tasting Notes

Fruit forward and delicious, GCM will make you a lover of Rhone varietal blends. A light spicy essence weaves beautifully through a nose of fresh strawberry and red raspberry. You'll love the taste of delicate spice notes throughout the luscious layers of cherry, raspberry, dried strawberry and plum. As the spices add depth in the finish, an appealing touch of rhubarb appears with the lingering flavors.

Modeled after blends from the Southern regions of France, but born of fruit hailing from the Bradford Mountain Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma; this wine shows the classic characteristics of great Grenache - soft, luscious fruit, pepper and licorice spice, with the essence of minerality from the site coming through. Building from the core of Grenache (54%), there is added spice and depth with Carignane (26%) complexity and tannin from Mourvèdre (13%) and for rich layered structure, Petite Sirah (7%).

Divvy-Up Taste Tips:

This is a great choice for people that like red fruit aroma wines, like Pinot and Sangiovese, but that also want more going on than just the fruit. It's layered without being heavy, and pairs well with pasta in red sauces, BBQ and other sauces with a little acidity.
